What is a detox?
Detoxification is a method of cleaning out
contaminated cellular soil (bad toxins) from the body. It assists to eliminate
toxins from the body, rebooting the liver and protecting the liver and kidneys,
lose stubborn fat, minimize cellulite appearance, balance the digestive system
and increase energy for a stronger healthier body. (Healthcare Training

What is the Lemon Detox diet? (Detox & body cleanse, 2015)
The Lemon Detox diet is a fast acting cleanse
that lasts for around 10 days, depending on the method you take. It consists of
consuming a lemon drink that replaces your meals, however there are alternative
options if you do not wish to stop eating.
These options include:

A full body cleanse – this is the most intense
option where you do not eat any solid food. It requires you to drink at least 2
litres of the lemon drink a day.
·
Relaxed version – This version allows you to
have a lunch and about 2-3 glasses of the cleanse liquid for breakfast and
dinner. You can drink more during the day if you plan to have a light lunch.
·
50:50 – This option consists of three sets of
three day time periods. For the first three days, similar to the full body
cleanse, you are required to drink 2 litres or more of the lemon diet drink.
Then for the next three days you are required to drink 2-3 glasses for breakfast
and dinner. This is followed by another 3 days of consuming 2 litres or more of
the same drink. This one is also referred to as The Switch as it allows the
body some breathing room instead of allowing your body to progress deep into
the diet, which can be overwhelming.
48 hour detox - is a liquid option that you can purchase from your pharmacy. Ask your local pharmacist about how it can be used and if it is suitable for you.

I really enjoyed the set up of this blog. It was informative and I enjoyed the twist as you initially promoted the fad and then mocked it by listing all the side effects of such a dangerous diet. I love the picture that you added...Well done!
